What’s Happening at Alchemy?

Protecting Your Business, Abundance, and Business Growth Resources

Year-End Review and New Year Forecasting

Now that we are through that first month of the year, we are firmly into a time when many people are reviewing their Company’s financial results and planning for this year’s growth.

This is all good, but there’s also another consideration that landed close to home in January. For the second time in my Company’s history, a client passed away unexpectedly. This is upsetting, shocking, and can be very stressful. Many of our clients asked me when hearing the news, “what do I need to have in place in order to avoid chaos if this happens to me?”

I have been through this situation already, and I know the real-life things that happen, so this isn’t a theory for me. Check out our blog post Protecting Your Business in Death, and make this your February priority to yourself – for the love of money and your family, look after this part of your business.

Giving Is A Key To Abundance

Releasing money into circulation is a key part of living in abundance, and it’s a core value and part of our mission at Alchemy. Here’s some of the impact we participated in:

Wilma’s Transition House

We donated over $1,000 to enable eWomen Network to provide Wilma’s with an $8k grant towards its programming and support services.

BC SPCA

So many initiatives are supported to help injured and abandoned animals specifically.

Soi Dog Foundation

A monthly donation to continue to rescue dogs from meat markets.

Ancient Forest Alliance

Funds directly donated to protester camps in BC ancient forests – these forests do not need to be logged; they need to be protected.

B1G1

400 hours of bookkeeping lessons for women entrepreneurs in Rwanda.

4Ocean

Funds contributed to continuing the removal of plastics from the ocean.

Sea Shepherd Society

Funds contributed to support the fight against overfishing and removing ghost fishing nets that marine life is getting caught up in and dying.

1% For The Planet

Do you know that only 3% of philanthropic donations go to environmental causes? Alchemy’s promise is that 1% of our REVENUE will be given to causes, organizations, and initiatives that are important to our clients and our team members, so we are thrilled to be accepted into 1% for the Planet. They are on a mission to change that 3%. Their membership model drives critical philanthropic support to address the most urgent environmental issues of our time. Their network exemplifies the power of collective action as we bring together individuals, businesses, and environmental organizations around the world to support people and the planet. When we all work together, 1% adds up, and we are so proud to be part of that 1%!

Your Custom Pitch List

I love doing podcast interviews, and it’s been an awesome way to attract new clients to Alchemy. Have you ever thought of being a podcast guest, but you’re either:

  • Too busy to do the outreach
  • Don’t know where to start

Well, I’ve got a resource for you! Last year, I hired Julie Fry for her podcast outreach services. It was so successful in attracting new clients to Alchemy I had to halt the services until I could hire enough team members to handle the incoming client work. Good problem to have, right? But it’s not cheap to have an expert on your side doing all the work for you. Julie created an awesome new offer for those who have a lower budget.

Julie says, “the key to getting more ‘heck yeahs’ to your podcast pitches is finding the right match between your expertise and the host’s audience. Here’s the kicker; finding the right podcasts takes a serious time commitment.”

So, if you have other priorities in your business other than going down a rabbit hole in Apple Podcasts, I’d love to invite you to check out a resource called Your Custom Pitch List.

They’ve introduced this affordable way to help you find the right podcasts for you.

Romy’s Reading Room

It’s not a book club – it’s a reading room. What’s that, you may be thinking? Well, Romy Marlo clears up any confusion:

“Romy’s Reading Room is a movement, not a meeting. My intention with Romy’s Reading Room is to provide an extraordinary experience for women who are committed to their personal and spiritual growth.”

Romy’s Reading Room is a sacred, intimate, and potent space she will pour her heart into. The Reading Room is for women who are committed to choosing to be part of high-frequency conversations, surrounding themselves with loving and supportive women who are aligned, engaging with books that carry meaningful messages, and being part of a Sisterhood where they can both support and be supported, continuing their journey into growth, expansion, and impact, and ultimately becoming the woman they desire to be.

If you are interested in being part of this very special space, please email Romy Marlo directly at marlo@theuncommonwoman.com.
